It will be good when they finally offer this here, Holden need to show that they are commited to cars that offer good economy to as well as being seriously fast, I wonder if Holden will use the additon of DoD as a way to intorduce a Series 11 VE or if they will go with VF but which ever way they go the update should be mostly about fuel economy gains so they dont fall behind the new falcon and the aurion
No VEII at all. Just mid life updates.

The blokes on Ford Forum are happy the V8 is only a few .04-.08 behind the XR6T for econemy.
I can't see why people can't be happy with a 10.7l/100 Commodore omega with 4 speed auto still!. It's only slightly more then a 5 speed Falc or 6 speed Falc.

When i was away in the Calais V6 my trip of over 1200km was 9.2lt/100, Highways hills and more hills i beat the **** out of the car and it never failed me on econemy.
I was passing cars in the tight back highways with only 1 lane @ 170 at times to get around slow arse trucks doing 40-60 up massive hills.
When you hire a car you drive it like you stole it:p. Just don't crash or get finned.

But i find people who bought them get better fuel econemy then car mags.

I'd love to know what they do when they test these cars for there official econemy ratings?.
