Re: UAW local members strike at GM Lansing plant

Seeing as a lot of my customers are UAW members I do not bash them. I try to understand both sides. What I see is both sides are guilty in dragging this out. I also think the head of the UAW really need to take some economic classes. I just finished taking several for my BS in BA , and I now see things a little different. I understand the need to have companies employing people to bolster the states economy! Here in Michigan we do not need to lose any more employers and have more people unemployed. It affects EVERYONE in the state. So strinking plants in Michigan doesnt make sense to me. We are in a hole and unfortunately some organizations do not see it. This county is in a recession. Now is not the time for both sides to be stubborn. We need to cooperate and get things turned around. If not this country will some day be a "third world" county and we all will be poor. So we all need to think things over. Both sides need to think of the State and the country. CEO's are overpaid, they need to think of good all their workers. Employees need to realize that our problems are not the company but other countries that import their junk into this country at low rates. People in those countries do not have the standard of living that we have. WE in this country are blessed. We need to be thankful and stop complaining. The enemy is not companies or manufacturers that we work for , but other countries that do not pratice fair importation. We need to get some intelligence in washington! They need to pass laws and regulations that favor american companies, that favor american workers! Instead they kiss the other countries butts. So uaw members vote in people that favor our country not others. CEO's, stop being so damned greedy. How much money do you really need to live on? Both sides need to think of their fellow americans and not themselves! Off my soap box.
