I really like the way that VW handles their transmissions. They are standard with a 5/6 speed manual, and then the other option is a 6 speed DSG autobox. I kind of wish that GM could do something similar, but GM does have a much larger variety of vehicles to provide for. And of course, there is more than one reason as to why VW doesn't make any money in the U.S.
