In 1974 while visiting the US, a rear seated passenger in a Plymouth "Valiant" 2 door (Dart or Barracuda I'm not sure) that I was driving cured that problem of a seat belt buzzer with a insulated wire cutter!!!!
Never presented any trouble thereafter!!
