The L36 and L67 are entirely different. They are both 3.8L motors but thats where the similarities end. The L67 fuel injectors are lower on the motor, the compression rate per piston is lower etc. As for the whole N/A GPs catching fire, this has been known for a while. Though the 3.8 is one of the best motors GM made, it is prone to fires from warping plastic on the motor as far as i understand. Kinda sad from such a great motor...
