The HO Q4 was reduced to 175hp in 1994 due to a head redesign.
Remember, the non-HO Q4 put out 160hp. So they added balance shafts and lowered the torque curve to make it more usable with auto trannies before renaming it the twincam and using it in mainstream vehicles.
