I test drove the Fit as well (a top of the line model) and a few things I noticed were:
Very Underpowered- I was driving normally and my dad was in the car with me and he asked me why I was revving the engine so high. I said I was just driving normally.
Very small front end-Although it scores well enough and it absorbs most of the crash, if you look at the crash test pictures, I would think this transmits more of the impact to your body. On another note, I didn't like not being able to see the front of the car over the massive dashboard and tiny hood.
Little trunk space- Very small in the back, compared to the Cobalt
