Go to youtube and watch the GTR run at the 'Ring. They started the clocks at one point and stopped the clocks about 200 ft before they came back to that same point.

A full lap would add about 6 seconds to their lap time....7:44.54.
They also used a flying start whereas GM uses standing starts.
