Maybe, in a way, it is. But the original four seat T-birds came close to this idea. Perhaps what I have in mind is a car that is related to the Corvette in the way that the 1956 Impala concept was to the Corvette (it was sometimes even called the Corvette Impala). I meant it to have more room than a Camaro, BTW. At one point, someone at Chevy was throwing around the idea of a Camaro based Monte Carlo, I recall seeing one idea in Motor Trend, about 1988-90, of a car called a Berlinetta (separate from the Camaro trim option) that might have used a stretched Camaro platform. It was drop dead sexy.
