Re: GM to recall 275,936 cars in U.S. due to fluid leak

GM really needs to listen to the enthusiast sites. The Camaro guys knew the intake leaked on the LT1's for years before GM acknowledged it. Same with the unbalanced driveshafts on the Camaros.

Now, the Solstice/Sky guys and CTS sites have been complaining about the failing rearends for years. I had my Solstice pinion seal leak fixed and it became so noisy it was hard to drive the car on the highway. It gave you a headache. Pontiac dealer told me it was normal. Bull. Thankfully, it leaked again 4-5 months later, and this time I went to a different dealer, and let the thing burn the rear gears into the ground before taking it in so I could get a new set of rear gears. Instead, they replaced the entire rearend unit. Dead quiet and no leaks. I was about to sell the car because I honestly could not take the loud rearend WHINE. Now, its wonderful.
