Actually it probably wont. GM's agreement with Suzuki allows them to have access only to the first generation of vehicles from GMDAT and not the 2nd.

What's more, Suzuki is moving further from GM in their development -- after GM dumped all but 3% of their stock, Nissan swooped in to make an agreement with them on product development. Suzuki is supposed to give Nissan more Kei cars for the Japanese domestic market, and Nissan is supposed to supply Suzuki with a minivan, a mid-sized vehicle and possibly a pick-up. The agreement doesnt say if those vehicles will be sold in North America or not, but certainly it's possible.

Lastly Suzuki wasn't happy with the "quality related issues" of the Forenza/Reno. They may be scared off of using a 2nd generation due to warranty issues --- even if the new product shares NOTHING with the previous vehicle.
