Re: Spy photos of the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V
Now I have mixed feelings about the engine. Originally when it was rumoured to be the same engine as the ZR1, with around 600hp, I planned on a price tag of about $75k.
If the speculation about the LSA is true, it will be a much less powerful car, but should have a price tag around $55k.
The question is, what is this car supposed to compete with? If it supposed to compete with the upcoming twin turbo M5, and the Audi RS6, it better pack the ZR1 motor with 600+ hp, and a $75k price tag will still be reasonable. If it plans to compete with just the M3, IS-F, and S4, then a 500+hp LSA motor and a $55k price tag is fine. Maybe they should sell two versions with both motors, like Audi does with the S4 and RS4, S6 and RS6, etc.
