Re: Spy photos of the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V
If they made a sport CTS then they could charge more then $50,000 for the CTS V but I think that the price limits for this new CTS is going to be in the upper $50,000 region.
Given that the out going model has a base price of $52,000 and the fact that the new CTS is what $2,000 more then the out going model that a $54,000 base wouldnt be too far off the mark.
Also considering the upgrade we are getting in performance, look, interior, features it would be worth the cost. Deppending on what engine is in the CTS V I can see it starting at as much as $59,000 which would bring it in aroudn the expected price for the new BMW M3 and some $20,000 cheaper then the BMW M5.
I really like this new CTS V, its under stated except where it counts (wide wheels and very flared fenders alogn with a bigger mouth for breathing and what looks to be a buldge on the hood to fit that supercharger).
When your vehicle gets this good and has this much appeal the gas guzzler tax ends up having less of an effect on its sales.
