I think it does come close.. remember, 08 fuel economy is different than 07. This weekend in an 08 proves it to me, I have 185 miles on the car on it's first tank of gas and I have almost hit the half full mark. Thats over twenty miles a gallon in city/hwy mix. I won't complain about the fuel economy in it, it could be better, but is just fine for a vehicle of its size.
