But people ARE doing something about it. They're shifting away from big trucks and SUVs and towards fuel efficient cars. Hence Toyota/Honda make more money each month while the big and stupid 2.5 lose money and market share. And what do we hear from Lutz? Gotta-have, Zeta and bitching about fuel economy standards. I guess Bob and Rick will be happy if things go on as they have with no tightening of government mandated fuel economy standards. But, if things go on as they have, GM/Ford/Chrysler will be bankrupt by 2010 and it won't be the fault of regulations. It'll be the fault of head-in-the sand management and comatose boards and shareholders.
