CURRENT Vue Hybrid is the BAS system - a joke - but IIRC the new Vue will get a 2mode.
And I have no idea why you are talking about Towing - all of my post was about FE .. and that is where the 2mode is shaping up to be superior to others ...
2mode works like a regular full hybrid in the city, so it will be on par with FE there, but unlike regular Ford/Honda/Toyota hybrids, which are dead weight at hwy travel, the 2mode is able to assist the engine even at the HWY making the cars that much more fuel efficient all around.
Ford has currently no plans for anything more than I4 full hybrids (debuting new generation next year in a Fusion).
And while I am dumbfounded why GM is starting with the hybrids from the heaviest and largest vehicles in their lineups, unless they fail to trickle the technology down to mainstream midsize sedans and small utes, they will have a successful hybrid program.
