Aren't a lot of joints lubed internally now or use flexibly plastic polymers and mounts instead of lubed metal to metal contact points?

I often watch the oil change services I get, sometimes at a local Jiffy lube close to work, and I never see them with a little oil can ala the Tin Man going around and lubing anything. Where is the lubrication performed? I've even watched the people under the car and never see them doing anything aside from the oil filter changeout.
Wondered about this myself. So a grease job and a squeeky seat track? Not what I'd call a good test for a service visit for sure. But a happy customer is not to be overlooked at any rate.
