Watch: Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Puts New Pulley on LT4-Swapped Colorado ZR2 by Evan Williams March 27, 2020 Share Comments Lingenfelter Performance Engineering has the power to make everything alright. By everything we mean the Chevrolet Colorado. And by power we mean 534 hp to the wheels and 526 lb-ft of torque thanks to a blown V8 with a pulley kit in this compact beast of a pickup. “Want to see something cool?!” the YouTube video asks. Of course the answer is yes! What are they offering? Something a step better than the 450 hp supercharger kit they already put together for the Colorado’s stock 3.6L V6. This one puts an LT4 V8 under the hood. That’s the 6.2L supercharged small block that’s normally found in the Cadillac CTS-V or the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, where it makes 640-650 hp and 630-650 lb-ft of torque. That bigger V8, along with its eight-speed auto, was bolted into the Colorado ZR2’s chassis looking like it called that place home. The swap was done by Current Performance Wiring, a specialty wiring harness company located in Florida and catering to modern small block GM swaps. That LT4 but it wasn’t left stock, though. Instead, it got Lingenfelter’s 720 hp upgrade kit that adds a new pulley and belt, custom engine tuning, and a new calibration for the eight-speed auto. It’s also got new wheels and tires that don’t exactly look up to containing all those ponies but will do just fine off-road. Do we want to see something cool? Of course. Now it’s your turn.
