Watch: Hennessey’s 1,000 HP Cadillac CTS-V is a Fitting Farewell by Sebastien Bell December 14, 2018 Share Comments Hennessey has produced its own, tuned version of the CTS-V and it’s, predictably, nutty. With 1,000 hp and 966 lb-ft of torque, it’s a fine way to say goodbye to the sedan that tried to remake Cadillac’s image. Hennessey has a lot of experience tuning the GM 6.2-liter V8, so this was likely a relatively simple build for the company. Still, though, with 460 more horsepower and 336 more lb-ft of torque to play with, the difference between Hennessey’s version and Cadillac’s is anything but subtle. The result is a 10.5-second quarter mile time (at 135 mph) and a 2.9-second sprint to 60 mph. Not bad, although we live in an impressive time in history when a 10.5-second quarter mile time sounds less impressive than adequate (given the hp figure).
