Jeff Gordon’s Corvette C7.R to be Auctioned For Charity

It’s not easy to step into a NASCAR Hall of Famer’s shoes. But you can step into one’s C7 Corvette. Jeff Gordon is putting a C7 up for auction at Barrett-Jackson later this month.

It’s not just any C7, though. This Corvette is a 2016 Z06 C7.R. One of just 500 built as a tribute to the full-on Corvette race cars. The C7.Rs came with a supercharged 6.2L V8 that put out 650 hp. This one is finished in black, not the optional yellow. But the cars came with Brembo carbon brakes, a carbon fiber body kit, visible carbon hood, grey grilles and vents, and a whole load of microfiber trim inside that included the dash and the seats.

The car has just 747 miles on the odometer. Though it’s the eight-speed automatic, not a manual. What do you expect from a guy who can only turn left? (We kid, we kid!) It also has the magnetic ride suspension.

Gordon’s Vette is being auctioned to support the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation. A charity that helps to support pediatric cancer research. The car hits the block January 18th.
