Hennessey summons big truck energy, makes 700 HP Goliath by Evan Williams February 19, 2020February 19, 2020 Share Comments When it comes to pickup trucks, more is never enough and too much is just right. Enter the Hennessey Performance Goliath package for the new GMC Sierra that boosts the truck from a ho-hum 420 hp to a much more Texas-like 700 hp from the 6.2L V8. That’s what you get when you bolt a 2.9L supercharger to the 6.2L V8 along with a new air intake, intercooler, and a load of engine modifications that includes a new cam, new pushrods, and HPE’s own engine management software calibration. The truck is road tested for up to 200 miles, comes with a serialized plaque on the engine, and, the most extreme part of the whole build, a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty. Goliath comes with more than just more power, though, Hennessey Performance Engineering has also fitted the Sierra Denali with a full range of exterior upgrades like a special front bumper with five LED lights. 20-inch wheels are fitted with 35-inch tires, and it comes with up to a six-inch lift kit. Other upgrades include new Brembo brakes up front to help stop this beast and new folding side steps. A stainless cat-back exhaust ensures that the V9 can be heard by everyone around. Hennessey will also remake the interior for you, including extra leather with diamond stitching and special Goliath headrests. Watch as Alex from HPE walks you through the Goliath 700, but if you’re driving one then you’d best watch out for Polaris Slingshots and probably nothing else.
