Here’s Your Chance to Own an Unfair Advantage

Buy Yourself an “Unfair Advantage” March 12 at Amelia Island, when one of Mark Donohue’s Penske-prepped, Sunoco-sponsored 1968 Trans Am Camaros comes up for auction.

The Penske Team was known for their clever engineering tricks like a body that was acid-dipped to shave weight, roll cages that extended to the frame and experimental engine parts. All of these culminated in an utterly dominating 1968 Trans Am season that saw Chevy take 10 of 13 victories.

With provenance like that RM Sothebys recons that chassis 9908H046 should fetch anywhere from $900,000 to $1,200,000 at auction. We’ll just enjoy the pictures.
