Come On, Guys! How is a Corvette the Least Driven Car in America?

The 911?! 911s get driven more than Corvettes?! You’ve got to try harder, guys.

We all know that there’s a certain class of car (RWD sports cars) that are seasonal, which as a result get driven less – and this list, put together using data from iSeeCars, backs that up. But the Corvette is number 1? I’m disappointed in you.

Whatever. Let’s count down the top 10 cars that are driven the least by their owners, I guess.

10. Ford Mustang Coupe

The Ford Mustang Coupe is driven an average of 8,990 miles annually (21.3% below average), which–whatever. It’s basically an economy car. It’s less precious than a ‘Vette. I get it.

9. BMW 6 Series Coupe

The BMW 6 Series Coupe is driven an average of 8,895 miles annually (22.2% below average) and comes with AWD, I guess.

8. Ford Mustang Convertible

The Ford Mustang Convertible is driven an average of 8,457 miles annually, which is 26.0% below average.

7. BMW 6 Series Convertible

The BMW 6 Series Convertible is driven an average of 7,692 miles annually, which is 32.7% below average.

6. Mazda MX-5 Miata Convertible

The Mazda MX-5 Convertible is driven an average of 6,927 miles annually, which is 39.4% below average. Somehow, though, it gets driven even more than a Corvette even though Mazda’s rust faster than lettuce.

5. Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Convertible

The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Convertible is driven an average of 6,217 miles annually, which is 45.6% below average. How does a fourth–third at best–car get driven more than America’s sports car?

4. Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

The Chevrolet Corvette Coupe is driven an average of 4,939 miles annually, which is 56.8% below average and breaks my heart.

3. Porsche 911 Coupe

The Porsche 911 Coupe is driven an average of 4,637 miles annually, which is 59.4% below average. That’s just 300 more miles than the Convertible ‘Vette. Just take one more road trip this season.

2. Porsche 911 Convertible

The Porsche 911 Convertible is driven an average of 4,523 miles annually, which is 60.4% below average.

200 miles. You can drive that today. Go visit your mom. Pick a golf course that’s a little farther away. Have lunch in a town you’ve never stopped at before. For God’s sake just drive more that this glorified Beetle.

1. Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

The Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is driven an average of 4,365 miles annually, which is 61.8% below average. Look at how nice the weather is! Get out there. Now! Forget what you’re doing and drive you damn car, guys.
