Chevrolet Tries to Poach Honda and Toyota Buyers with New $2,500 Incetives

“What, oh what will I replace my 1999 Daewoo Leganza with now that its headlights have lit their last?” It’s a question we’ve asked ourselves at one time or another and now Chevrolet’s got the answer thanks to new incentives worth as much as $2,500.

Chevy, you see, is trying to poach buyers of (select) Asian car brands. These include Daewoo, Hyundai, Honda, Isuzu, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Scion, Subaru, Suzuki, and Toyota, as long as they were made after 1999.

If you own any a car that satisfies those parameters, you could get $2,500 off your purchase or lease of a 2018 Chevy, or the purchase (but not the lease) of a 2017 model.

All you need to get your discount is proof of ownership or a current lease contract. Perhaps best of all, though, there’s no actual trade-in requirement so you can keep your precious Daewoo Leganza.

As Motor1 helpfully points out, Chevy doesn’t seem to mind it if you want to stack incentives. So, if you find the right dealer, you can get up to $8,000 off the purchase of a Corvette add to that the $2,500 Asian car incentive, and another $1,500 for the down payment incentive and boom, $12,000 the purchase of your new Corvette.
