Action Express racing locked out the front row of Rolex 24 qualifying with the No.5 of Barbosa edging out teammate Dane Cameron by 0.070 seconds in the sister No.31 Cadillac. During practice the No.5 crew of Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi and Filipe Albuquerque were nearly a second faster than any other car. Ricky Taylor’s Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac nearly made it a dream 1-2-3 start for the DPi but was pipped for third at the end of the session by defending WEC champion Neel Jani in the Rebellion Racing Oreca 07.
