The 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 has been spotted once again prior to its debut next month.

Much like the 2019 Silverado, the Sierra will get a full-blown do-over for 2019 which will feature lightweight materials and new technology. Look for Sierra's styling to run counter to the Silverado's more rounded look. The GMC will get prominent LED daytime running lights, along with new LED taillights, Denali trimmed trucks should get a full LED setup.

One key styling difference will be the "squircle" wheel wells which are more rounded at the front, before squaring off behind the tires. Significantly, it doesn't look like the Sierra will adopt the Silverado's dual exhaust integrated into the rear bumper.

Powertrains will be shared with the Chevy, with two V8's and a 3.0-liter inline-six Diesel on offer. The 6.2-liter V8 and the turbodiesel will also receive stop/start technology and should come mated to GM's new 10-speed transmission. It's likely base 5.3-liter V8 models will continue with a six-speed automatic.

The Sierra will be shown at a special event in Detroit on March 1.
